Nevel Meade Hosts the 2025 Louisville Junior Championship

LOUISVILLE, KY (July 11, 2025) – The Kentucky PGA Junior Tour closes its summer stint with the 2025 Louisville Junior Championship, set for July 14–15. Hosted at Nevel Meade, the event will feature a full slate of divisions across both 18-hole and 9-hole formats, highlighting some of the top junior talent from across the state.
The KPGA Junior Tour extends its gratitude to Nevel Meade and its staff for their support of junior golf in the Commonwealth. Event coverage and scoring will be available following each round.
Highlighted groups to watch during Round One include:
Andrew Perry of Winchester and Thomas Leone of Union are in a battle for Boys 14-15 Player of the year and will tee off back to back, Perry in the 1:21 PM group and Leone in the 1:30 PM group. The two will continue the battle this week.
Thomas Evans of Fisherville will also begin his round at 7:30 AM, starting on hole 1 in the Boys 16–18 division. Evans is currently sitting in the top 10 on the 16-18 Player of the Year points standings. A solid finish could jump him to the top. He is grouped with Michael Fairbank of McLean and Joseph Mangine of Union.
Mary Clayton Rodgers of Frankfort who recently finished in the top 10 in the 46th Girls Junior Amateur of Frankfort is set to tee off in the 8:33 AM tee time off of hole 10 in the 14-18 division.
In the Girls 10 & Under division, Madeline Sherertz of Georgetown has a 1:21 PM tee time on hole 10. She is currently 5 for 5 in wins this year with the KPGAJT, with her most recent victory being the Junior Amateur at Frankfort CC. She will be playing with Bella Wang of Louisville, while Henry Gray of Louisville, competing in the Boys 10 & Under (9-hole division), will round out the group.
