DeHaven, Sherertz, and Welch Crowned Champions at The Boys 11–13 & 9-Hole Boys & Girls Junior Amateur at Frankfort Country Club

FRANKFORT, KY (July 1, 2025) – The Boys 11–13 & 9-Hole Boys & Girls Junior Amateur at Frankfort Country Club has officially wrapped up after a fun and spirited day on the course.

This event gave younger junior golfers the chance to build confidence, gain experience, and enjoy competitive play in a relaxed setting. With divisions tailored to different age groups, players showed great effort, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm throughout the competition.

Max DeHaven of Hardinsburg claimed the Boys 11–13 Division title with rounds of 74 and 71 for a total score of 145 (+1). Max got off to a strong start with birdies on holes #2 and #7, and finished with an impressive bogey-free back nine that included birdies on #17 and #18.

In the Girls 10 & Under Division, Madeline Sherertz of Georgetown put together a flawless performance, firing an even-par 72 (40-32). Her bogey-free round featured birdies on holes #12 and #18, highlighted by an eagle on the par-5 15th.

Rounding out the winners was Jamison Welch, also of Georgetown, who captured the Boys 10 & Under (9-Hole) Division with a score of 77 (38-39), finishing strong with a birdie on the 18th hole.
