2025 Boys Junior PGA Championship - Final Round

RICHMOND, KY (May 29th, 2025) – The 2025 Kentucky Boys Junior PGA Championship concluded Thursday at Gibson Bay Golf Course, where Luc Kelty of Fisherville delivered a poised and consistent performance to capture the title in the Boys 16-18 Jr PGA Qualifying Division. Kelty posted rounds of 70 and 67 to finish at 7-under-par 137, earning medalist honors and one of Kentucky’s two National Qualifier spots for the National Junior PGA Championship, set to take place July 29–August 1, 2025, at Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Kelty showed a strong start of the course with five birdies in round one, then followed up with a flawless bogey-free final round, carding five birdies and 13 pars to seal the win.

Finishing just one shot back was Zach Gladieux of Louisville, who claimed the second National Qualifier position. Gladieux opened with a steady 72 that included three birdies, then charged the leaderboard on Thursday with a 6-under 66, featuring six birdies and 12 pars—the lowest round of the tournament.

Brody Alexander of Louisville led the field after round one thanks to a 4-under 68, which included an eagle on #7. He remained in contention and finished tied for third at 3-under 141, securing the 1st Alternate position for nationals. Sharing that spot was Jackson Burrice, who fired a clutch 67 in the final round, highlighted by an eagle on #7, to earn 2nd Alternate.

Luke Bryant and Barton Rutledge tied for fifth at 2-under 142 to become the 3rd and 4th Alternates, respectively, while Landon Hunt rounded out the alternate list at 1-under 143 (5th Alternate).

In addition to national qualifying honors, the top 25 finishers in this division also earned spots in the 2025 Kentucky Boys Junior Amateur Championship, continuing a strong season of elite junior competition across the state.
