What age do I have to be to participate in Youth on Course?

You must be at least 6 years old to join. You can stay a part of Youth on Course until your 19th birthday.

How can I book a tee time through Youth on Course?

Through a partnership with GolfNow, Youth on Course members can book tee times for many of the participating courses. Click here to download the Youth on Course app which will let you do so. 

Do I need take the curriculum before or after I pay for my membership?

When you pay you will receive an email right away prompting you to take the curriculum, so pay first.

What do I do with my membership number?

Having an active membership number means that you paid for the year and are able to use your membership. Your number can also be used to establish a handicap to use to track progress and compete in tournaments.

When will I get my membership number?

After you signup, you will receive an email with your number and a link to complete the online curriculum. If you already have a handicap number from another club be sure to sign up with that number to avoid being assigned a new one.

How do I play golf for $5 or less?

After joining, you will get a membership card with your unique membership number on it. Bring this to the course during the designated Youth on Course times and you will play for $5 or less.

When will I get a membership card?

It will take 2-3 weeks to get a membership card. You can print one earlier than that here.

How long does my membership last?

Memberships are valid for one calendar year (until January 1).

I’m traveling. Can I use my membership in a different state?

Absolutely! If there are participating courses in an area you are visiting, you are welcome to use your membership there regardless of where you live.

Can I play for $5 or less with my golf team or for a tournament? What about golf camps?

You can not use your membership for tournaments or competitions. For practices with your team please contact your local golf association. Golf Camp use is not permitted.

Do you pay for range balls or a cart?

Yes. Youth on Course does not cover range balls or carts, and we encourage our members to walk.

How much does a Youth on Course membership cost?

Membership costs $5 for Kentucky residents and you can join online by clicking here. All Kentucky PGA Junior Tour members also receive a complimentary Youth on Course membership.

How long does my membership last?

Memberships are valid for one calendar year (until January 1).

What are the age restrictions for Youth on Course?

Youth are eligible for Youth on Course membership when they turn 6 years old. The membership is valid until their 19th birthday.

Are there any restrictions for using a Youth on Course membership card?

You can play golf using your Youth on Course membership card as many times as you like – there is no limit, however, you can not use the card to play tournaments, competitions, or organized camps. Please check the course map for YOC availability at participating facilities.

Can I join through The First Tee?

Yes, depending on the chapter. Many chapters of The First Tee have a Youth on Course Club through their Allied Golf Association so they can offer their participants a Youth on Course membership. You can ask a staff member at your chapter or feel free to contact us if you need any assistance.
