2025 Lou Perry Tour Championship Recap

Elizabethtown, KY - (October 19, 2025 )The Kentucky PGA Junior Tour headed to Elizabethtown Country Club for the final event of the 2025 season. Due to inclement weather on Sunday, round two was shortened from eighteen holes to nine holes, making it a 27-hole event (nine-hole division was shortened to six-holes) . Sawyer Baillargeon and Willa Borough were two of our Lou Perry Tour Champions, each of them winning their first major championships of the year.
In the 16-18 Boys Division, Elizabethtown’s own Rylan Jones was firing on all cylinders after an opening-round 68. He followed that up with a steady 36 in the second round to post a two day total of 104 (-4), putting some real distance between him and the rest of the field. Finishing at eight over par was Lexington’s Lane McConathy.
In the 14-15 Boys Division, Sawyer Baillargeon of LaGrange claimed his first victory of the season, shooting a 71 for round one. His consistent play kept him ahead of the field as he held off a strong charge from Andrew Perry, who finished at +3 (76-35-11)
Shifting over to the in the 14-18 Girls Division, Willa Borough of Lexington posted a 73 (+1) round one and was able to follow that up with a 39 to finish at 112 (+4), earning her a comfortable five-shot victory. She was able to stay ahead of Piper Dunn who posted a 81-36-117, finishing in second place.
In the 13 & Under Division, Parker Haddix was able to attain yet another victory capping off a perfect season of 10 wins in 10 tournaments. She claimed the top spot in this event by turning in rounds of 79 and 36 for a +7 total of 115, securing a ten-shot lead over Lexi Littlefield who finished at +17 (76-39-115).
One of the most exciting finishes to the weekend came in the 11-13 Boys Division, where Max Dehaven and Boston Meredith both had an identical two-day total of 76-39-115 (+7). The two were forced to go into a sudden death playoff to determine the winner. Max emerged victorious after going to three playoff holes.
Play continued for the 10 & Under divisions in their nine-hole divisions. In the 10 & Under Boys Hagan Newton was able to put together an impressive performance, firing 34-23-57 (-3) to win by eight shots. Maclan Foley and Jack Fischer tied for second at +5 (65) after steady play across both rounds. The 10 & Under Girls featured Madeline Sherertz and Bella Wang’s battle for the top spot of the Player of the Year Standings. Madeline was able to earn the win shooting +9 (41-28-69), edging out Bella, who finished +12 (40-32-72).

The Kentucky PGA Junior Tour Extends its thanks to Christian Ramirez P.G.A.-Head golf Professional, Corey Smith P.G.A - General Manger and the entire staff at Elizabethtown Country Club for their assistance in hosting this championship. Additionally, appreciation is sent towards each player who has competed in this tournament and all other events throughout the Tour’s season
Each of the Tour’s 2025 Players of the year will be recognized individually in the coming weeks. The 2025 Golf House Kentucky Junior Player of the Year will also be announced later this fall, which accounts for results in the Kentucky PGA Junior Tour’s top events and other prestigious tournaments across the state.
The 2026 Kentucky PGA Junior Tour Schedule will be released this winter.
